This Privacy Policy explains how Gokoro Apps LLC ("Gokoro Apps", "we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the Nostaly mobile application ("the App").

The App helps you declutter your photo library by reviewing a small selection of photos each day.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We do not require account registration or login.

2.2 Photo Library Access

Important: Your photos never leave your device. The App accesses your photo library locally to display photos for review. Photos you choose to delete are moved to your device's "Recently Deleted" folder, managed by your operating system. We do not upload, store, or transmit your photos to any server.

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

• A randomly generated anonymous identifier stored on your device (not linked to your Apple ID, name, or any personal account)
• Device information (OS version, app version, locale)
• Usage analytics (session length, photos reviewed count, features used, navigation patterns)
• Crash logs and errors
• Advertising identifiers (for ad personalization)
• Timezone (for daily reminders)

Analytics data is sent to our servers in anonymous, aggregated form. We cannot identify individual users from this data. Analytics are used solely to understand usage patterns and improve the App.

2.4 Information Collected by Third Parties

We use Google AdMob for advertising, which may collect:

• Advertising ID
• IP address
• Device information
• Ad interaction data

You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the photo review and cleanup functionality
• Send daily cleanup reminders (if notifications enabled)
• Display relevant advertisements
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Track cleanup progress and statistics

We do not sell personal data.

Data may be stored or processed in the United States or other countries. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

6. Data Retention

• App preferences and cleanup statistics are stored locally on your device.
• Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months.
• Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.

8. Data Deletion

To delete your data:

• Delete the app from your device (removes all local data including your anonymous identifier)
• Reset your advertising identifier in device settings
• Contact us at nostaly@gokoro-apps.com to request deletion of any server-side analytics data associated with your anonymous identifier

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13.

10. Security

We use encryption and secure infrastructure. Your photos remain on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. No system is fully secure; use the App at your own risk.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Continued use of the App indicates acceptance.

Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Nostaly, you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. Eligibility

Users must be at least 13 years old.

3. App Description

Nostaly provides:

• Daily photo review sessions to help declutter your library
• Swipe-based interface to keep or delete photos
• Calendar view to review photos from specific dates
• Progress tracking and storage savings statistics
• Daily reminder notifications

The App operates entirely on your device. Photos you delete are moved to your device's "Recently Deleted" folder and can be recovered within 30 days (depending on your device settings).

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers optional purchases:

• Remove Ads (one-time purchase)

Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Refunds

Refunds are handled exclusively by:

• Apple App Store
• Google Play Store

Gokoro Apps does not issue refunds directly.

5. Advertising

The free version of the App displays advertisements via Google AdMob. You may remove ads through an in-app purchase.

6. Photo Library Access

The App requires access to your photo library to function. By granting access, you understand that:

• Photos are processed locally on your device only
• No photos are uploaded to external servers
• Deleted photos go to your device's "Recently Deleted" folder
• You are responsible for reviewing photos before deletion

7. Intellectual Property

• The App and its original content are owned by Gokoro Apps.
• You retain all rights to your photos.

8. Prohibited Use

Users may not:

• Reverse engineer or scrape the App
• Interfere with app functionality
• Use the App for commercial purposes without permission

9. Disclaimer

The App is provided as-is. We are not responsible for:

• Accidental deletion of photos you intended to keep
• Photos permanently deleted after the recovery period
• Any loss of data

Always review your "Recently Deleted" folder before permanent deletion.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Gokoro Apps is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
• Total liability is limited to the amount paid in the previous 12 months.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New York, USA.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the App means acceptance.

Refund Policy
